MY 11TH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY

This year as every year come all the special dates so along comes another wedding anniversary.

I was married on November 11th, 2000.

This year my anniversary falls on 11-11-11 and it is the 11th anniversary for us.

We need a special cake. 

PACKING MY STUFF

....and I have a lot of stuff.
I think it would be beneficial to me to move every 3 years.
I need a lot of stuff, but I also accumulate needless stuff, or just have stuff that I forgot about and it is all outdated trash. May be treasures to other people though. That's why it is sometimes hard to get rid of it unless of course you have to carry it. I guess this is the deciding moment for me. Do I really want it enough to carry it?

Today I had another fedex issue. What is up with fedex these days?
They must have retrained their people to cheat every possible customer any chance they get.
The box in question: 41"x 40"x 4". These are my exact measurements. Cost $58.00
The fedex version   : 42" x 42" x 5" - cost  $110.00.
I made the mistake of not taking with me a printed rate estimate.
"So you are not going to ship it?" No, I'll re-pack it. Thank you. "Are you sure?"

PRICE OF SILVER

PRICE OF SILVER - PLEASE READ
As the prices of Silver go up so very fast these days, I will have to raise the prices on all jewelry once the spot price goes over 35.00 per ounce.

I've been trying to keep the prices steady, but now since the replacement cost of my Silver stock has gone up about 30 percent,  the price of jewelry will unfortunately be affected.

TODAY the price of Silver went over 35.00 per ounce.
If there is no change in the spot price I will have to raise prices in my store on Monday  03-07-2011.

They will go up on average about 10 percent. 

BRACELET MANDREL

For months now I've been walking around with dozens of ideas for bracelets in head.

They all required a tool I didn't have. Every time I placed an order with "Rio" I place the mandrel in my basket only to end up removing it before payment because the total of my order just grew way out of line. Last week I finally decided to just order the mandrel and nothing else and so I did.

Putting ideas into tangible objects does not always go so smoothly.

Nonetheless, here is my first bangle and and it turned out exactly as I wanted.

I opened a new door...

Today is just another miserable wintry day.

I am trying really hard to remember why I live here.

I think long and hard and can't find a reason except for just one thing.

The truth is that all this sacrifice is for my son.

We live in an area with a killer school district and that is why I suffer through this weather year after year. 

For him. 

Funny, it is all about this little person.

I get up way earlier than I would ever allow myself to get out of bed.

I make breakfast and pack a lunch. 

I go outside and brush the snow off my car then drive across train tracks every day. 

All for him.

He stole my heart.

THE AFTERMATH AND SOME SPRING

I think the pictures tell the story.

I'm glad we have room for all this snow.

I choose to think Spring for now.

IT IS STILL SNOWING HERE

The streets are completely empty. There is not a soul out there and all is white.

LITTLE MORE SNOW

Probably a foot and a half of snow by now. The scary thing is the lightning and the blinking light.

I really do not want to be left with no power.

FLOWERS IN THE BLIZZARD

It is supposed to be the worst in the last 50 years. They are saying that the lake will stand 25 feet tall spilling onto the streets. It is indeed getting worse. The snow is coming down faster and faster.

 

I took this after 2.00 pm

There is more snow on the street right now as the traffic keeps growing. I haven't seen one salt truck yet.

You can hear the sirens and the emergency vehicles are busy 

going back and forth.
